Description

The Court Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century, is a medium-sized farmhouse with a small addition at the north gable and an attached former cider house on the south gable. The east front of the farmhouse features coursed rubble stone, while the rear elevation is made of random rubble. It has a slate roof with brick end stacks. The front of the farmhouse has 20th-century shallow concrete lintels and sills, along with six-pane transom-type windows. The ground floor entrance, which is off-centre to the right, has a boarded door, with one window to the left and two to the right. On the first floor, there are four corresponding windows. The addition on the right has one 2+2 pane casement window on both the first and ground floors.

The cider house, located at the far left and at a lower level, has random rubble walls and a corrugated asbestos roof. A tall cart entry on the far left is blocked by corrugated metal sheeting. To the right on the ground floor, there is a square window opening with cambered brick voussoirs. The garden elevation features a gabled brick porch with a segmental arched entrance doorway and a six-panel door in the centre. On the ground floor, there is a six-pane transom-type window to the left and a 20th-century glazed door in an old opening to the right. Between the ground and first floors, there is a stair window with a 2+2 casement. The first floor has, from left to right, a corresponding six-pane transom, a small one-light window, and another similar transom. An attic dormer in the centre has a monopitch roof and corrugated asbestos side cheeks, featuring a two-pane fixed window. At the north gable, the end wall of the addition has a three-light mullion window on the first floor. The ground floor, from left to right, includes a boarded door and two 2+2 pane casement windows, each with a segmental brick arch. Attached to the addition on the right is a small, single-storey extension with a flat roof.
