Description
This building is a combination farmbuilding located to the north of the Great House, constructed from red sandstone rubble with dressed openings and a Welsh slate roof. It has an L-shaped plan and features a single-depth cart shed and tack-room with a granary above, along with a stable positioned at right angles to the right, which has a hayloft over it. The structure is one and a half storeys high and includes three segmental-headed openings with carefully cut voussoir stones, separated by piers. The tack-room is to the right and has a flat-headed door and window. The roof is steeply pitched and includes three gabled dormers with 2-light casements. There is a tack-room stack on the right gable and an external stone stair on the left gable leading to the granary door. The stable features a catslide roof and a hipped gable end that projects forward. The rear elevation has not been seen, and the interior details were not available during the resurvey.
