Description
This is an 18th-century rubble-built house situated at a right angle to the road, with its rear facing the church. The house has a double-depth, two-unit plan aligned on a northeast-southwest axis, facing southeast. A large lean-to extension, with a hipped tiled roof, projects from the southwest gable, facing the road; a smaller lean-to is attached to the opposite gable with a doorway and a 4-panel door. A rear wing extends from the east bay.
The two-storey, two-window front facade is constructed of roughly-coursed small random rubble, with the left gable rendered. The roof is covered in small brown clay tiles. A plain, square-headed doorway, slightly offset to the left of centre, features a 4-panel door. The ground floor has a small, oblong three-light casement window to the right and a small, square two-light casement to the left. Two matching two-light casements are positioned above these at the first floor. All windows have small-paned glazing and appear relatively small and widely spaced in proportion to the facade's width. Gable chimneys are present at each end of the roof.
The lean-to facing the street, formerly a shop, has a doorway flanked by a pair of large fixed windows. The rear of the east bay has a casement window at ground floor, a small fixed window adjacent to the junction with the rear wing, and two casements above. The rear wing has one casement window on each floor and a 20th-century garage doorway to the north. The property was not inspected internally.
