Description
The garden railings and gate at Trostrey Lodge are made of iron and date from the 19th century. They consist of a short length of spearhead rails on each side of a pedestrian gate that leads to a bridge over a ha-ha. Each side of the gate features urn stanchions, and the rails are ramped down in the center of each length, with slight outward turns at the extreme ends. The gate itself includes a mid-rail adorned with a wrought iron band that displays a pattern of large and small lozenges.
