Description
Croes-bleddyn Cottages are a pair of one-and-a-half storey cottages built in random limestone rubble with a stone slate roof, reflecting the Cotswold style typical of Dawber. Each cottage features a projecting gabled bay with doors on either side and a 3-light window on both floors. The windows have 8 panes flanking 16 below, and 6 + 6 + 6 above, although these are replacement plastic units set in elliptical stone heads. The details of the window units differ between the two cottages. The gables of the cottages meet in the center, where there is a downpipe and a tall stack located behind. The rear elevation has undergone some changes, but both houses retain an attic dormer and the original tall kitchen stacks. Additionally, there is a two-storey extension that has a plain and modernized appearance on the ground floor.
