Description
Bailey Glace is a modest, largely original farmhouse with an attached outbuilding. The house is likely 18th century, with a rectangular double-depth plan running north-south, facing west. An outbuilding is attached to the south gable. A 20th-century extension sits at the rear of the north half of the house. The house is two storeys high and has a simple, symmetrical two-window facade. A central doorway has a painted board door sheltered by a small, slated canopy. There are two segmental-headed casement windows on each floor; the ground-floor windows have three lights, and those above have two lights, all with horizontal glazing bars. Gable chimneys are present. The front of the outbuilding is largely obscured by vegetation. At the rear, the north half is covered by a flat-roofed, two-storey extension, while the south half has two-light casement windows on each floor, matching those at the front, except the upper windows are square-headed. The rear wall of the outbuilding has a plain doorway and is protected by an improvised corrugated sheet roof. The building was not inspected due to inaccessibility.
