Description
The presbytery at the Catholic Church of St Alban is a three-storey building constructed from squared coursed brown limestone rubble, topped with a hipped Welsh slate roof that features plain ridges, matching the adjoining church. It has windows with flat lintels and cusped imposts, stone cills, and large pane replacement windows, with the upper floors showcasing leaded lights. The ground floor features wide double cross windows.
The building has a rectangular shape with six bays facing Conway Road, where the left three bays are advanced and gabled. There is a gabled entrance porch in the left-hand bay of the right section, complete with kneelers and coping on the gable; the gap at the apex may have once held a cross finial. The round-headed doorway is adorned with dressed voussoirs in the arch and has a replaced door with a plain glazed fanlight. Additionally, there is a later door, possibly inserted, at the left end of the gabled section, which is connected to a modern carport.
The left return elevation is rendered and features a central bay with a single window above and a cross window below, both fitted with leaded glazing, along with a narrow window to the right. The rear elevation has not been inspected.
