Description
Pen-heol-Adam is a small farmhouse constructed from colour-washed stone rubble, featuring a replaced corrugated roof that slopes lower at the rear and has rendered end stacks. The building is single storey with an attic. It has a central doorway with a gabled porch, flanked by a single window on each side: a 6-pane casement window to the left and a 6-pane sash window to the right, with a half dormer above the centre left. The gable end facing the road includes two later windows. To the left, there is a farm range with a slate roof and a later lean-to at the front. The farmhouse is set within a small walled garden that may include a former privy.
According to the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales (RCAHMW) plan, the main living room has a direct entry and features a fireplace in the end wall on the left, with stairs beside it and a second partitioned room to the right. The RCAHMW tables indicate that the ceilings have joist beams, there is a timber partition, and the roof truss includes a collar.
