Description

This is a row of terraced houses dating from the 18th century, situated on Cyfartha Road. The houses are built of rubble stone, with the right-hand house and the central three rendered. They have slate roofs, although the roof of number 24 has been replaced with modern pantiles. Brick stacks are present, with some of them rendered. Each house originally had two windows, and the houses at numbers 23, 24, and the three on the left retain the original cambered openings with simple raised surrounds. Sash windows remain in number 23 and the group of houses on the left, featuring small panes of glass at number 28. The rendered houses have wider, later added surrounds to their window openings. The central doorways have been altered. Internally, the houses were designed with turning stone staircases flanking a chimney breast within thick party walls.
