Description
Wellington's Cafe Bar is a three-storey public house built from pressed red brick with a slate roof. It features a seven-window front facing The Hayes, arranged in three bays of 3-2-3, and is highlighted by pilasters. Above the cornice, there is a central aedicule with the inscription "Duke of Wellington," topped with a pinnacle and flanked by urns. The top floor has round-headed windows, while the first floor has camber-headed windows with sash glazing. On the ground floor, there are three broad camber-headed windows with tall key stones that extend to a string course beneath the first-floor windows, along with two doorways that have broken pediments. To the left, there is a similar splayed corner bay with a glazed doorway, and a matching two-window elevation facing Caroline Street.
