Description
The circular garden seat at Faendre Hall is a decorative gazebo built in the 19th century. It features an open circular design supported by six columns with Corinthian-style capitals. These columns hold up a frieze, which in turn supports a domed roof made of wrought iron panels. Each column shaft is adorned with a band of varied ornamentation, including some Celtic-type interlace, and they rest on very deep plinths that are also richly decorated. The plinths are connected by a curved bench, which is further supported at the midpoint by consoles facing both directions. The entrance to the gazebo is located on the south terrace. In the center of the structure, there is a small circular table with a bulbous stem, designed in a bird-bath style.
