Description
The building known as Apartments 1-3 St. Michael's College is a two-storey structure built in the late 19th or early 20th century. It is made of roughly coursed and squared red Radyr sandstone, accented with Bath limestone dressings. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and features ridge tiles. A drip course runs between the floors.
The layout consists of three central entrance houses, each with three bays, resulting in a ground floor that has six windows and three doors arranged as follows: window, door, window, window, door, window, window, door, window. There is also a small window to the left of each door. The windows are 2-light mullion-and-transom style with small panes, and the doorways are arched. On the first floor, there are nine windows in total: six with mullions and three single-light windows, each light containing eight small panes. The building features two large dormers with 4-light windows that include a king mullion, which are shared between the apartments. Additionally, there are four large ridge stacks with weathered tops. The rear elevation has not been seen.
The interior has not been inspected during the recent survey, but given the building's purpose, it is expected to be utilitarian in nature.
