Description

This tall chimney, located 100 meters north of Gelliaraul Farmhouse, was built as the engine-house chimney for the Llangan lead mine. It features a stone base and main shaft, with a red brick upper shaft. The chimney has a square base that tapers upwards to a cylindrical shaft, resembling a telescope in three parts. The square base is battered, leading to a stone shaft, followed by a brick cornice and a smaller brick shaft that has a second cornice band. The chimney stands approximately 20 meters tall.
