Description

The churchyard wall, gatepiers, and gates of the Church of the Holy Trinity date from the 19th century. The wall is constructed of low lias limestone rubble and features a coping made of roughly dressed blocks of stone, standing about 1 meter high. In front of the south porch of the church, there is a pair of 19th-century iron gates. These gates have circular uprights topped with arrow-headed finials that alternate in height above the top and middle rails, which curve downwards towards the center and are supported by iron braces. The gates are flanked by a pair of gate piers made of large blocks of stone, which have rounded ashlar coping. At the north-east end of the wall, there is a stile that has been modernly repaired, along with a modern iron gate.
