Description

The pigsty at Church Cottage is a typical conical Glamorgan pigsty, likely dating from the 19th century. It has a circular plan and is constructed of limestone rubble, topped with a conical roof that rises to about 2 meters in height. The remains of the pig pen are still visible, featuring a stile to the west set within a low rubble wall. A small flight of steps bisects the structure, leading from the front of the house to the rear. There is a feeding trough located to the east of the pigsty, positioned against the flank wall of the house.
