Description
The gates, gatepiers, and churchyard wall of St Thomas' Church are notable features made of tall, slender rusticated dressed stone gatepiers topped with crenellated Gothic limestone caps. They include a cambered ironwork overthrow with scrolled insets that support a central lantern bracket with finials. The ironwork gates are adorned with palmette-like finials and dogbars. Stone steps lead up from the roadway to the gates.
The stone boundary wall is constructed of narrow, regular courses with dressed stone caps, complemented by modern railings.
