Description
The War Memorial in Dan-y-graig Cemetery is a Grade II listed structure. It features a tall octagonal cross made of Portland stone, which has a bronze sword affixed to it. The cross stands on an octagonal base that is set upon a plinth with three steps. The second step bears the inscription 'Their name liveth for evermore', a phrase chosen by Rudyard Kipling for all cemeteries. Additionally, the years 1914 1918 and 1939 1945 are inscribed on two sides of the octagon above.
