Description
8 Camden Road is part of a terrace of 12 houses, historically known as Bowen Terrace. These two-storey homes, which also feature attics, are constructed of stucco and primarily have slate roofs. The buildings display moulded quoins and window surrounds. The end houses have gabled fronts adorned with decorative bargeboards, a single camber-headed attic window, a pair of camber-headed first floor windows, and splayed bay windows, with entrances located in the three-window returns.
The other houses in the terrace consist of two bays and include small gabled dormers. Above the ground floor splayed bay windows, there are paired camber-headed sash windows. The splayed bay windows themselves feature camber-headed sash windows and cornices supported by scroll brackets. Additionally, there is a bay with a single first floor window positioned above a camber-headed doorway that includes an overlight.
The front garden wall of the terrace is made of stucco, with some rebuilding, and has rough stones on the coping, along with original iron gates.
