Description
6 Camden Road is part of a terrace of 12 houses, historically marked as Bowen Terrace. The buildings date from the 19th century and are two storeys high with attics. They are constructed of stucco and primarily feature slate roofs. The houses have moulded quoins and window surrounds. The end houses showcase gabled fronts with decorative bargeboards, a single camber-headed attic window, a pair of camber-headed first floor windows, and a splayed bay window, with entrances located in the three-window returns.
The other houses in the terrace consist of two bays and include small gabled dormers. They feature paired camber-headed sash windows above the ground floor splayed bay window, which also has camber-headed sash windows and a cornice supported by scroll brackets. Additionally, there is a bay with a single first floor window above a camber-headed doorway that includes an overlight.
The front garden wall of the terrace is made of stucco, with some rebuilding evident, and is topped with rough stones. The original iron gates remain in place. The roofs are finished with artificial slate.
