Description

This building at 12 Lion Street is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the 19th century. It has three storeys and a four-window front facing Lion Street, featuring pebbledash with rusticated quoins and a plinth. The second floor has four small modern windows that were formerly hopper windows with glazing bars. The first floor includes sash windows without glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a central modern shop window flanked by modern doors in the outer bays. At the rear, the building has a double-gabled stucco elevation with bargeboards that have pendants. Each gable features a window with an architrave on the first floor, and on the ground floor, there is also a modern display window or doorway, which is set within an architrave.
