Description
41 High Street Inferior is a three-storey building dating from the 19th century. The south-east front features stucco with a slate hipped roof and a large chimney on the left. It has a coved eaves cornice. On the second floor, there is a nine-pane sash window, and on the first floor, a tripartite sash window with small panes. The ground floor includes a 19th-century shop window with two three-centred headed lights, framed by pilasters, a fascia, and a cornice. There is a doorway located on the corner.
The north-east return has two windows with architraves; the left window is blind. On the upper floor, there is a nine-pane sash window, and on the first floor, a twelve-pane sash window with a doorway below. To the left, there is a shop window with two lights and curved heads. At the rear of the island block, facing High Street Superior, there is a narrow elevation of three storeys with one window and a capped parapet. This includes a nine-pane sash window on the second floor, a twelve-pane sash with marginal glazing bars on the first floor, and a simple doorway.
