Description

The churchyard cross at the Church of St Brynach is made of carved grey stone and dates from an unspecified period. It stands on three steps, with the top step curving forward on the south side. The square base features a deep-chamfered top, inscribed on the north and south sides with the phrases 'Mary was that mother mild ...' and 'O God the Son Redeemer ...'. The cross itself has a slim octagonal shaft with concave diagonal faces, which narrows at the top to an octagonal capital. Atop the capital is a finely carved cross, depicting the Crucified Christ on the south side and the Virgin and Child on the north side.
