Description

Upper Yard Bridge, also known as Canal Bridge No 115, is a single-span hump-backed bridge made of rubble sandstone. It features a segmental arch constructed with voussoirs and has continuous parapets. On the southeast side, which is downstream, there is a cast iron plaque displaying the bridge number in relief. The parapets are splayed and include end piers. The deck of the bridge slopes down towards the northeast, where a retaining wall is positioned against the eastern end pier. The copings consist mainly of upright stones, with some flat stone replacements.
