Description

23 The Struet is part of a group of four houses, built in the 18th century. The building is two storeys high, featuring roughcast walls with a band at the first floor level and a plinth. It has a slate roof that is hipped over No 21a, which is located to the right. The windows are small-pane sash types, with 12-pane sashes for Nos 21a and 21, and 16-pane sashes for Nos 22 and 23.

On both the first and ground floors, there is a window to the right and a doorway to the left. The doorway features a round-headed and pedimented doorcase with pilasters and consoles, a six-panelled door, and a semi-circular fanlight with radiating tracery.

Inside, there are reeded chimney pieces and possibly a re-used early 18th century type newel stair with turned balusters.
