Description
The lychgate at the Church of Saint Mary is constructed from purple rubble stone and features a slate roof with 20th-century bargeboards on its shallow-pitched roof. The gateway has stone voussoirs forming a flattened arch on each side, although the arches have been rebuilt. It includes double iron gates with spearhead rails and dog-bars. To the left, there is a low wall made of squared purple stone blocks topped with stone coping, along with spearhead railings that are interrupted for a matching pedestrian kissing-gate.
