Description

Bailey Glas is a two-storey, double-fronted terraced house, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed with painted roughcast and stucco dressings, and has a slate roof with a roughcast stack on the right-hand side; a left-hand stack was likely shared with a neighbouring property. The windows are horned sashes with marginal bars, and the front door is a 20th-century replacement. Decorative stucco work, probably from the early 20th century, adorns the facade. A plinth runs along the base, and angle piers are panelled with pebbledash, incorporating a raised panel at the lower level and a sunk panel at the upper level. The window surrounds are shouldered, featuring raised motifs, strips on either side, circles at the upper corners, and a lozenge shape in the centre. The doorcase is similarly decorated with raised pebbledash panels, round bosses at the upper angles, a central lozenge, and opposing scrolls above. A small circular pebbledash panel with round bosses is centrally positioned on the first floor, framed by a decorative surround with a lozenge above. The property is not available for inspection.
