Description
Nos. 69-72 The Watton, including the rear wing to No. 72, is a row of four three-storey houses. Each house features a two-window front and has a slate hipped roof with brick stacks along the ridge. The fronts are either stuccoed or rendered, with bands at the second and first floor levels. The first floor is adorned with Ionic pilasters. The second floor has small square sash windows, although these have been modernised at No. 72. Each house on the first floor has two French casements with 19th-century iron balconies. On the ground floor, there are 20-pane sash windows set in plain reveals. The doorways are round-headed and feature fanlights with petal tracery, leading to six-panelled doors.
