Description
Blaenant farmhouse is a two-storey building made of rendered and painted stone, featuring blue brick end and ridge stacks, along with a large rear axial stack. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and has overhanging eaves. The main façade has a four-window arrangement of 6/6 pane sashes with narrow glazing bars set in reveals, with a blind or blocked window in the centre right. The ground floor includes a gabled porch on the centre right, supported by two cast iron columns on yellow brick plinths. On the far left, there are signs of a blocked former window, while the centre left window has been enlarged to a tripartite large pane horned sash. The far right window is a 6/6 pane sash. Stepping back to the left is a lower two-storey shallow gabled extension that was added in 1893, which features long segmental arched hopper windows on the gable end facing the farmyard—three on the first floor and two below. At the rear, close to the bank, there are 6/6 pane sash windows and a central round arched multipane staircase window. The interior has not been inspected.
