Description

The garden wall at the rear of Havard and Morgannwg Houses is a stone structure that is significantly taller than the wall behind No 3 Buckingham Place. It features a parapet, mock machicolation, and loops, along with a doorway that has a chamfered architrave. Behind this doorway, there is a flight of steps leading into the garden. The lower section of the wall is made from a different type of stone, laid in thinner courses, and has a roughly embattled coping at the rear of Morgannwg House. Within the garden of Havard House, near the doorway, there is a blocked doorway at a right angle, which is said to provide access to a passage that runs parallel to the wall.
