Description
Pont Spwdwr, also known as Spudder's Bridge, is a 19th-century single-carriageway bridge constructed from rubble stone. It features four main spans that are steeply ramped towards the center. The piers and abutments are designed with V-shaped cutwaters that rise to the parapet, creating refuges. Each span has a pointed arch, with the two central spans being wider and higher than the others. The two southernmost arches cross the river, while the remaining two span a floodplain. To the north, there are two additional low and narrow pointed arches that also cross the floodplain on the approach to the bridge. The plain parapet continues on the north side, where it serves as a field boundary and ends at a field gate.
