Description

Redford House was formerly two shops, a druggist and a Post Office, likely dating from the late 18th century, around 1790, based on surviving deeds. This Georgian building has a two-storey, three-window roughcast front, but its structure originates from the 17th century. It features a renewed slate roof with ridge cresting, raised and dentilled eaves, and it previously had dormers similar to those at Temperance House. The windows have been replaced, including a 20-pane bow window with pilasters on the left and a modern multipaned window on the far right.

Inside, the building retains timber partition walls and cross beams, with stop-chamfered detailing to the right of the cross passage.
