Description
Upper Nash Farmhouse is a two-storey building facing east, with its end gable positioned towards the road. The front elevation features three windows. At the rear, there is an outshut that has a continuous roof. The structure is built of rubble masonry, which is partly rendered, and has a slate roof with small rendered end chimneys. There are modern extensions on the side and rear, along with adjacent minor outbuildings.
At the rear of the house, where the main range meets the outshut, stands a large early chimney that rises about 7 meters in height. The base of the chimney measures approximately 2 meters square, tapering to about 1.5 by 2 meters at eaves height, and further reducing to about 1 meter square just below the top. It features angled coping and dripstones at the offsets. As of 1995, the chimney is no longer accessible from the inside, but it is reported that a brick oven is concealed on one side.
