Description
This is an early 19th-century outbuilding located to the east of Treneved. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a grouted slate roof with rubble stone end stacks. The building is two storeys high, with a roof that slopes down low on each side, over added lean-to cart sheds, giving it an overall square plan.
On the west end, there are cart entries on either side; the left entry has a concrete lintel, while the right entry has a timber lintel and is partly blocked for a window and door. The centre of the west end features an upper loading door with a stone lintel, a ground floor centre window with a slate lintel and sill, and a door to the right that includes an overlight and a timber lintel. The east end of the building is partly built into the slope.
The condition of the outbuilding is poor. Inside, there are some stable fittings on the ground floor, and the roof has a 4-bay structure with nailed collar trusses. There are no fireplaces, but there are wall flues from the ground floor.
