Description
Bartlett's Well is a rectangular wellhead constructed from limestone. The wellhead is approximately 1 meter square and faces north, towards the adjacent stream. It is believed that a stone platform originally lay in front of the well opening, though it is now obscured by silt. The well itself extends at least 1 meter below the sill level of the opening. A wrought-iron gate protects the opening, and the upper portion of the wellhead is a modern construction of bricks laid in a vaulted shape and reinforced with iron bands.
