Description

Milton Bridge is a 19th-century structure featuring two widely spaced arches that support the original main road to Milton over a stream and a mill-leat. The gap between the arches measures approximately 10 meters, while each arch spans about 4 meters and has an elliptical shape. The arches are constructed with dressed limestone voussoirs, and the rest of the bridge is built from limestone rubble. The carriageway is about 4.8 meters wide between the parapets, which each have a flat coping.
