Description
Carew Inn is a house featuring a rear service wing and a wing on the west side. It is constructed of random rubble limestone masonry, which is generally informally coursed on the gable wall of the side extension. The building has slate roofs with brick end-chimneys on the main part, the rear wing, and the side extension. The original house, facing north, is three storeys tall and has three windows across its front, including a blank fenestration panel at the first and second storey levels. The central door consists of four glazed lights and two flush panels, topped by a canopy supported on brackets. The west extension is two storeys high, featuring two windows on the upper level and one large window on the lower level. All windows, except for the large one, are mid-19th century four-pane windows with horned sashes. The windows and the blank panels are surrounded by render.
