Description

The dovecote at Great Nash is a circular structure made of rubble stone, with some remnants of roughcast. It features a domed roof that is divided into three steps, with stone shelf courses between the steps, and it likely had a circular top entry. The only opening is a small south-facing entry, which appears to have been broken through. It is reported that there was once a door on the east side, but this is now blocked. Although the interior is not accessible, it is said to be lined with approximately 200 stone nesting boxes.
