Description
The Stable Court at St Botolph's is an early and later 19th century structure built from roughcast rubble stone. The western side is noted on an early 19th century estate map located in the Pembrokeshire Record Office. The building features slate roofs and stands two storeys high, enclosed on all sides except for the south, which was likely once fully open but is now partially enclosed.
The western and eastern wings have hipped gables and decorative two-storey arched panels on their south end walls. The windows have been added or altered over time. Inside the court, there are tall camber-headed doorways below and small louvred loft windows above, both of which have been altered. The northern side has five windows and five loft windows, with a broad entry at ground level featuring sliding doors and two doors to the right. The eastern wing has a regular four-window arrangement. The western side has been converted into accommodation, with six upper windows that extend through the eaves to flat tops, various ground floor windows, a central part-glazed broad cambered arched opening, and a 20th century flat-roofed addition to the right.
On the south side of the court, there are gatepiers, and to the east, there is a small one-window house with an eastern brick stack. To the west, there is a short length of wall that includes a 20th century addition.
