Description

The cartshed at Great Westfield is a single-storey building constructed from rubble stone and red brick, topped with a slate gabled roof. It features red brick dressings around its openings. On the left side, there is a door, followed by a window and another door leading to a stable. This is adjacent to a row of five large open bays supported by brick piers and featuring elliptical arches. At the end of the row, there is an entry to an enclosed coach-house, which has a brick arch and jambs. The right gable end of the building includes tiers of red brick dove holes. Inside, the main area is open and supported by thin collar trusses, with the collars secured using iron bolted staples.
