Description
Church Hill Cottage is a rectangular building made of rubble masonry, with a slightly battered base. It features a pointed stone vault that rises to 7.5 meters high. The cottage has a modern porch on the west side and a small modern wing on the south side. There are small round-stack end chimneys; the west chimney may be a dummy as there is no corresponding fireplace and no known flue. The east chimney is functional, with its flue built into the wall thickness. Additionally, there is a bread oven located in the northeast corner, although it is now concealed. The roof is covered with artificial slates and has a large overhang at the eaves. Small square-headed windows are positioned at a high level facing the churchyard. The tall pointed vault is visible from the inside, and its neatly constructed extrados can be seen in the roof space. The cottage is possibly from the 15th century.
