Description
Blue Dolphins is a two-storey house originally designed with three windows, now featuring four, and it faces south with a view of Manorbier Bay. The original three-window arrangement includes a central main door, with a lobby and stairs positioned between two principal rooms. The house does not have a cellar due to the rocky site, and it has been significantly extended at the rear.
The front and side elevations are constructed of rubble masonry and are hung with slates of graded sizes. There are bay windows on either side of the main door and above the upper window of the link section. The other windows are casement type, set in widened openings, and both window types have been renovated in hardwood. The front door consists of four panels, with the lower panels being flush, and it features a rectangular overlight. A flat-roofed porch is supported by thin cast-iron columns that are 10 cm in diameter and tapered with entasis. The house has a slate roof with brickwork end-chimneys and a low wall enclosing the forecourt.
