Description
Glendower is a house built around 1877, featuring a painted stuccoed front over a rubble stone base, raised cement dressings, an imitation slate gabled roof, and a brick stack at the south end.
The house is two storeys tall with a prominent three-window main range, characterized by a modillion eaves cornice. It has sash windows with marginal glazing bars set in raised surrounds, which are shouldered above and slightly gabled below bracketed sills. The central doorway has a four-panel door with an overlight, all within a similar gabled surround. There is also a tall narrow stair light on the rear wall, while the rear and south side walls are made of rubble stone.
In front of the house, there is a narrow garden enclosed by a dwarf rubble wall topped with ornate cast iron low railings and a central entry. To the right, there is a low two-storey attached range with a grouted slate roof. This range has one window front featuring a small sash window above with marginal glazing bars, a larger similar sash window to the right below, and a ledged door to the left.
