Description

This is a tall navigation beacon, likely built in the mid-19th century, located on the headland to the east of the entrance to Porthgain Harbour. It stands about 3.5 meters high and has a circular base. The beacon has a bulbous cone shape that tapers to a point and is constructed from rough rubble stone. It is one of a pair of beacons that mark the position of the harbour entrance at Porthgain.
