Description
Pen yr Aber, also known as Bryn y Mor, is an early 19th-century detached house constructed from rubble stone, featuring a colourwashed and slate-hung front. The house has a grouted slate roof, rendered rubble end stacks, and nogged brick eaves. It stands two storeys high and was originally designed with a three-window range, which has been extended by an additional bay to the west. The original section includes hornless 12-pane sash windows and a central door with an overlight. The ground floor has had its slate-hanging removed and is now enclosed within a glazed lean-to. The east wall is made of rubble stone and includes a small loft light. The west end addition matches the slate-hanging and eaves of the original structure, featuring a garage below and a square timber oriel above, with paired 8-pane sash windows at the front and 4-pane windows on the sides. There is a rendered stack at the west end and a gabled rear wing behind the house.
