Description
The Old Lifeboat House is a 19th-century structure built from rubble stone, featuring a grouted slate roof and a gable front made of squared stone with decorative bargeboards. The original high opening has been mostly infilled and rendered, with smaller double doors now inserted. Above the original lintel, there is a stone relieving arch and a 6-pane window in the gable. Below this window, a marble plaque commemorates the repair and enlargement of the lifeboat house, as well as the addition of the watch room in 1886. The south side of the building has three windows with Caerbwdy stone sides and heads, while the north side features two windows and a small addition at the northeast corner, which has a slate roof, a rear round chimney, a front door, and a window at the north end.
