Description

Pont Penarthur is a later 19th-century road bridge spanning the River Alun. It is constructed from square rubble stone and features a slightly ramped parapet that is capped with vertically-set stones. The bridge has a single elliptical arch made of cut stone voussoirs, along with a small flat-headed opening on the west side. Additionally, there are cut waters with stone flagged tops on the upstream side.
