Description
The front garden wall to the Canonry is a high rubble stone structure that runs south from the reputed site of the north gate to the Close at Porth Boning. Opposite the front door of the house, there is a pointed chamfered arched doorway, which may date back to the medieval period, featuring a 19th-century panelled wooden door. The wall steps up over the doorway and has a slate-capped parapet with raised rubble piers on either side. At the right end of the wall, there is a segmental arched gateway that serves as a service entrance. Adjacent to the left, there is a stone projection that may be part of Porth Boning. At the left end, the wall returns slightly, creating a garden entrance with another pointed chamfered doorway.
