Description

This is a pair of limekilns located at Pickleridge beach, built from rubble stone and set into a bank. They are connected by a rubble stone retaining wall. Each kiln features two opposed kiln-eyes with roughly triangular-headed openings and slab lintels. The stonework is corbelled inwards and downwards towards the hearth. The crucibles are not accessible, and both kilns are heavily overgrown as of 1997.
