Description
This milestone is located on the south side of Llanbadarn Road. It is a tall, white painted stone with a triangular section and a curved top. The east and west sides feature the inscription 'ABERYSTWYTH 1 MILE' at the top in high-quality black lettering. The east side continues with distances to various locations: 'RHAYADER 33, KINGTON 59, HEREFORD 79, WORCESTER 98, CHELTENHAM 118, LONDON 209, GLOUCESTER 110, BRISTOL 145'. The west side lists distances to 'LLANIDLOES 28, NEWTOWN 43, WELSHPOOL 48, SHREWSBURY 75, BIRMINGHAM 118, LONDON 209, LIVERPOOL 108, MANCHESTER 131', all in similar lettering.
