Description
5 Belle Vue Terrace is a two-storey building featuring a classical roughcast front with three windows. It has an advanced hipped roof end pavilion to the southeast, associated with No 1. The structure includes plinths, end pilaster strips, and a cill band that connects Nos 4 and 7. The roofs are slate, with wide boarded eaves, and there are seven cement render chimney stacks and three rubble chimney stacks.
Most of the windows are 12-pane sash windows with lugged architraves and ornamental keystones. No 1 has 16-pane sash windows on the ground floor, while No 7 has no glazing bars on its ground floor windows, and No 8 features plain architraves. The entrances are arched, adorned with architraves and keystones, some of which are panelled and have ornamental keystones. The doors are recessed six-panelled with five-pane fanlights, except for No 1, which has a six-pane fanlight, and Nos 7 and 8, which have three-panel doors.
The left end wall of No 1, facing Bridge Street, is roughcast and has 12-pane sash windows similar to those on the front. No 6 has a plain roughcast end wall, while No 7 features a rubble end wall, both facing a side land that leads to two boarded doors at the rear.
Cobbled pavements are present in front of Nos 1 and 5. The houses that are advanced to the right are not of special interest.
